Neometals Ltd. is committed to undertaking its activities in a manner that recognises the importance of environmental protection and sustainability in an environmentally responsible manner and effectively managing any risks that may lead to impact on the environment.

Neometals Ltd. will do all that is reasonably practical to ensure that there is continuous improvement in environmental performance, including ongoing communication and awareness raising, active reporting of environmental incidents and continuous learning from experience.

To develop an innovative and environmentally friendly culture that extends to all organisational levels and is adopted by all employees, including those that provide contractual services. We are committed to the principles of sustainable development and recognise our responsibilities to the wider community to make a contribution to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment.

Neometals Ltd. will demonstrate due diligence in the management of its work activities in a manner that is consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development, and will deliver continuous improvement in environmental performance through:

• Complying with all applicable laws, regulations and statutory obligations relating to environmental issues;
• Identify, prioritising and proactively managing our environmental hazards which may pose risks to the community, environment or property;
• Foster an environmentally responsible culture throughout Neometals Ltd. by empowering employees to lead on environmental initiatives;
• Assessing likely environmental outcomes before deciding to proceed with activities;
• Identifying, reporting, investigating and resolving all environmental incidents and non-conformances;
• Building constructive and collaborative working relationships with external stakeholders;
• Increasing environmental awareness amongst employees by providing all employees with updated information and training in changes to environment management systems and work practices;
• Progressively rehabilitate areas no longer required for efficient operation using the most practical methods.

This Policy applies to all personnel, contractors and visitors involved in Neometals Ltd. operations.

Neometals Ltd. is committed to provide a safe working environment for personnel, contractors and visitors in order to perform job tasks without causing unacceptable risks to the health and safety of themselves, others, or to the integrity of operations.

Each employee, contractor and visitor is responsible for ensuring they are fit to perform the duties without imposing unacceptable risks to the health and safety of themselves, others, or our operations.

Fitness for Work issues that may affect performance and safety include:

• work related injury or illness;
• stress and fatigue;
• physical or mental deterioration or disability;
• non work-related injury or illness;
• influence of prescription, non-prescription, illegal drugs or alcohol.

Personnel are ‘fit for duty’ in order to perform job tasks without causing unacceptable risks to the health and safety of themselves, others or to the integrity of operations.

Measures are taken to evaluate the job risks associated with personnel who are assessed as ‘not fit for duty’ and to minimise those associated risks.

Neometals Ltd. ensures implementation of this Policy by:

• Ensuring that personnel are assessed as to their physical ability and capability to undertake required tasks with minimum risks to themselves, others, or the operation;
• Carrying out assessments before commencement of work, and randomly, or upon discovery of information suggesting that there is an inability to safely perform job tasks;
• Coordinating affected personnel and supervision in a manner that develops the most advantageous and feasible application of risk minimisation measures;
• Performing assessments and the implementation of mitigation measures in a manner that is respectful of affected personnel and includes objective professional advice;
• Ensuring confidentiality is maintained for all ‘fit for duty’ assessment and implementation of mitigation measures;
• Reviewing and updating this document periodically and ensuring this Policy is available to all personnel and interested parties.

This Policy and its supporting plans, procedures and guidelines apply to all personnel, contractors and visitors involved in Neometals Ltd. operations.

Neometals recognises the historical connection between the Aboriginal people and the Australian land and that Aboriginal people have been custodians and stewards of this land for thousands of years.

Neometals therefore recognises the importance of ensuring that Aboriginal people are directly benefitted by development of this land.

Neometals is committed to ensuring that Aboriginal people are engaged in direct employment or contractual employment while the Company mines Australian mineral resources.

Neometals is committed to ensuring that appropriate training and mentoring is provided to Aboriginal people who have an interest in being involved in the Company’s operations.

Neometals is committed to supporting local aboriginal community initiatives that aim to improve opportunities for local aboriginal people.

Neometals has committed to collaborating with Native Title holders on a regular basis to monitor and ensure that the interests of Aboriginal people are being attended to in areas that are affected by the company’s operations.

Neometals Ltd. is committed to preventing illness and injuries at work by providing a safe and healthy working environment that protects the safety, health and wellbeing of all employees, contractors and visitors to its operations.

We strive towards eliminating personal injury. However, if personal injury occurs, Neometals Ltd. concentrates on managing the injury and the rehabilitation process to provide support for the injured worked to achieve optimal recovery. Neometals Ltd. commit to reviewing and understanding the cause of every occurrence with steps being taken to prevent reoccurrence.

Neometals Ltd. will work closely with Contractors to ensure all injuries to contractor personnel are managed in accordance with this Policy.

Neometals Ltd. has developed and implemented an injury management policy which states that successful outcomes would be demonstrated by:

• Complying with state legislation and regulations as a minimum and in all cases striving to achieve the best injury management outcomes for both the injured worker and the Company;
• Complete and accurate reporting, recording and treatment of all personal injury;
• Prompt commencement of the rehabilitation process in accordance with medical advice;
• Proactive management of injuries from the time of injury to ensure optimal recovery;
• Making suitable duties available to injured or ill workers to facilitate their safe and early return to work;
• Respecting the confidential nature of medical information and ensuring there will be both verbal and written confidentiality;
• Ensuring this Policy is communicated and available to all personal and interested parties;

This Policy applies to all personnel, contractors and visitors involved in Neometals Ltd. operations. Each employee, contractor and visitor is responsible for actively participating in and supporting this Policy.

All personnel have a fundamental right to a healthy and safe working environment, and expect to leave work at the end of the day/shift safe and well. Neometals Ltd. core values are ensuring the health and safety of our employees, our contractors and the public whilst protecting the environment. In return Neometals Ltd. expects personnel to care for themselves and the safety and health of fellow employees.

We uphold these values in the same way that we ensure the quality of our work – by implementing rigorous controls through every phase of our projects. Neometals Ltd. shall ensure that high standards of occupational health and safety protection commands equal prominence with other business considerations in the decision making process.

All personnel have a fundamental right to a healthy and safe working environment, and expect to leave work at the end of the day/shift safe and well. Neometals Ltd. core values are ensuring the health and safety of our employees, our contractors and the public whilst protecting the environment. In return Neometals Ltd. expects personnel to care for themselves and the safety and health of fellow employees.

Personnel are ‘fit for duty’ and protected from all occupational injuries and illnesses and operations are conducted, at a minimum, in compliance with current applicable occupational health and safety legislation and Company-adopted best practice.

The management system and policies for occupational health and safety establish a process to develop objectives and targets that support continual improvement.

Neometals Ltd. ensures elements of its Occupational Health and Safety Management System are implemented by:

• Mandating compliance with all relevant legislative, statutory and other requirements;
• Providing adequate training, instruction and supervision and is consistent with job requirements to ensure that employees can perform their work in a safe manner;
• Ensuring safe, effective systems of work to prevent all occupational injuries and illness and to avoid accidental damage or loss to equipment and materials;
• Embedding a health and safety risk management system based on continuous improvement aimed at the elimination of work related injury and illness in all process, procedures and the way we manage our work;
• Setting an example of leadership at all levels of management and hold managers accountable for their performance;
• Fostering a positive safety culture with open communication with employees and interested parties to actively participate in the continuous improvement of our safety performance;
• Reviewing and updating this document periodically and ensuring this Policy is available to all personnel and interested parties.

This Policy applies to all personnel involved in Neometals Ltd. operations. Each employee, contractor and visitor is responsible for actively participating in and supporting this Policy.
