IN KEEPING WITH OUR VISION AND PURPOSE, NEOMETALS IS RESEARCHING AND DEVELOPING NEW PROCESS TECHNOLOGIES TO RECOVER CRITICAL MATERIALS FROM HIGH-VALUE WASTE AND NON-CONVENTIONAL FEEDSTOCKS.
OUR KEY CURRENT FOCUS IS ON:

Precious Metals

Neometals is evaluating the hydrometallurgical recovery of precious metals from industrial waste streams in the US. The third-party technology is currently being tested in a pilot plant utilising commercially available feedstocks.

Synthetic Zeolite

Zeolites are three-dimensional alumino-silicate crystals that are microporous. They have openings which can allow or prevent molecules from passing and are also known as molecular sieves. Zeolites occur in mineral form although most are manufactured for use in water treatment, gas adsorption, green chemistry and precious metal applications.

Neometals is developing a process to produce synthetic zeolites from the alumino-silicate waste produced from the production of lithium chemicals from spodumene concentrates. The process is designed to produce a high-value co-product that delivers users a sustainable competitive cost advantage.

The technology has been successfully tested at bench scale and further development is targeted with partners under technology licensing arrangements.
